Municipality has over R$40 million in asphalt works ready for contracting
Asphalt works in Ponta Grossa total over R$40 million and advance to contracting, while the Municipality awaits state transfers

The Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa ends the period of electoral restrictions with more than R$ 40 million in asphalt works ready to move on to the hiring stage. According to the Municipality, the administrative and bidding processes were maintained during the electoral defense and, now, the contracts begin to be prepared for signature.
In total, the package brings together ten paving works in different regions of the city, in addition to a new hiring planned for this week, in the region of Ponte Preta. In addition, the investments reach approximately R$ 40 million.
Despite the progress of the tenders, the execution of the works still depends on the effectiveness of the resources announced by the State Government.
Projects advanced during the electoral period
During the period of electoral restrictions, the technical and administrative stages of the projects were maintained, allowing part of the tenders to reach the end of the process at this time.
With this, the Municipality states to be prepared to sign the contracts as soon as there is confirmation and release of the necessary values for the execution of the services.
“We did our part. We don't wait. We drafted the projects, we signed the contracts, we made the tenders and we are now with the contracts ready to sign. The appeal was announced by the State Government and the projects are ready. Now we need this resource to be effectively passed on so that the asphalt can reach the streets,” says prefeita Elizabeth Schmidt.
Paving package
In 2025, the City Council signed approximately R$ 160 million in paving projects with the Government of Paraná.
Of this total, the State authorized the allocation of R$ 100 million to assist in the execution of the works. According to the Municipality, the last R$ 40 million, which correspond to the current package, were announced on the eve of the electoral period.
Among the regions contemplated in the processes that advance for hiring are Vicentina, Jardim Carvalho II, Santa Lúcia, Francelina, Esplanada, Jardim Santa Luiza, Ernesto Degraf, São Vicente de Paula, Palmeirinha and Gralha Azul.
Increased investments
The highest value foreseen in the package is destined for the Gralha Azul, with an estimated investment of R$ 10.74 million.
St. Lucia followed suit, with R$ 9.7 million. Also planned are R$ 4.95 million for Esplanade, R$ 3.4 million for Francelina, R$ 2.73 million for Santa Luiza Garden and R$ 2.47 million for Ernesto Degraf.
The project foreseen for the Ponte Preta region should represent more R$ 2.22 million in investments and, according to the City Hall, should enter the hiring phase later this week.
In addition to the works already submitted, the paving project of the Leila Maria, estimated at R$ 13 million, remains awaiting the opinion of the Secretariat of State of the Cities for homologation.
With the advanced hiring processes, the City Council affirms that it maintains the planning to expand the paving in Ponta Grossa. The effective start of interventions, however, will depend on the confirmation and transfer of the resources provided by the State Government.
