New bridge in São Bento community in Tibagi enters execution phase
The project involves building a new reinforced concrete bridge, 16 meters long and 7.50 meters wide.

The construction of the new bridge over the Capivari-Mirim River, in the community of São Bento, in the district of Alto do Amparo, in Tibagi, begins to take off the paper. The preparation of the construction site on site is being initiated, while the company responsible for the execution works on the production and organization of the pre-molded structures that will be used in the construction.
The project provides for the construction of a new reinforced concrete bridge, 16 meters long and 7.50 meters wide. The structure will be deployed on a new axis, above the currently existing bridge, with an elevation of more than two meters from the current level. The change was planned to increase the safety of the crossing and reduce the impacts caused by rising water levels in rainy periods.
According to the municipal Secretary of Planning, Fernando Kogus, the work is in the phase of preparation of the structure and the place where the headboards of the new bridge will be executed. “We are already with the construction site being prepared and the company is producing the parts that will be used on the bridge. Some of the structures, such as the adelas, have already reached Tibagi, while the pre-molded beams are being produced in Laranjeiras do Sul and, subsequently, will be transported to the municipality,” he explains.
The execution provides for the construction of the headwaters, with preparation of the ground, landfill and protection with stones, followed by the installation of the pre-molded structures. By using previously produced parts, this stage of bridge construction tends to advance faster after completion of the headboards.
PROJECT PASSED Several STAGES BEFORE THE START OF THE WORK
Until reaching the execution phase, the project went through different technical and administrative stages. In addition to the procedures necessary for the hiring of the company and approval of the project, a preventive archaeology research was carried out in the area destined to the implementation of the new bridge, in compliance with the requirements of the Normative Instruction of the Institute of National Historical and Artistic Heritage (IPHAN).
The steps were necessary to ensure that the implementation of the new structure met the technical and legal requirements and to define an adequate solution to the characteristics of the site, especially in relation to the history of flooding.
The project also envisages the alteration of the road axis in the bridge region. The new structure will be in a higher position than the current one and will count on the adequacy of the headboards and protection of the margins, seeking to give greater stability to the access and reduce the risk of slippage.
INVESTMENT
The work was contracted for the value of R$ 1,999,900.00, with execution by the company Ernani José Bueno. The investment is made with resources of the State Government, through the Convention No. 2044/2025, signed with the Secretariat of State of Cities.
With the beginning of the preparation of the site, the next step focuses on the execution of the headboards and the preparation of the structure that will receive the pre-molded parts. The City Council monitors the progress of the work with the company responsible for the work.
