October 12 Holiday Changes Public Services Operation in Ponta Grossa

The holiday of October 12 will cause changes in the functioning of the municipal public services of Ponta Grossa. On Monday (12), several sectors will be closed, while services considered essential continue to function normally or on duty.
In the health area, the Health Units will be closed during the holidays. The Pronto Atendimento Units (UPAs) and the 24-hour CAC are still in normal service.
The garbage collection will also normally be held on Monday.
Public transport will have Sunday hours
The Ponta Grossa public transport buses will operate with Sunday table during the Monday holiday (12). For this reason, passengers should be attentive to the schedules before leaving the house.
The Regulated Parking system, the Estar, will not have activities on Monday. The normal operation will be resumed on Tuesday (13).
Social Assistance Maintains Essential Services
The Ponta Grossa Social Welfare Foundation (FASPG) will be without administrative work on Monday, but essential services will continue to operate.
Among them are social approach, receptions, special transport and funeral aid.
The administrative headquarters of the Guardian Councils will also be closed, but there will be 24-hour shifts throughout the holiday.
Service units are closed
The Worker Agency, the Entrepreneur’s Room and the Hub Station will not be available to the public on Monday.
The Maintenance Square will also be closed in person. According to the City Hall, digital services remain available 24 hours a day through the Digital Government, on the Municipality’s website.
Procon will have no business hours and will resume normal activities on Tuesday (13).
Popular Restaurant and Feira Verde
The Popular Restaurant will be closed on Monday (12) and re-open on Tuesday (13).
The Feira Verde will also not have public service during the holidays.
Schools will not have classes on Monday and Tuesday
In the municipal education network, there will be no classes on Monday (12), because of the holiday, and also on Tuesday (13).
Tuesday will be used as an anticipation of the recess referring to Teacher's Day.
