Operário beats Londrina and secures important away victory

Londrina vs Operário finished with a 2-1 victory for Fantasma on Sunday (6), at Vitorino Gonçalves Dias Stadium (VGD), for the 26th round of the Brazilian Championship Series B. Ponta Grossa's Operário-PR opened the scoreboard in the first half and scored in the 45 minutes of the final stage to conquer three points away from home and reach 40 in the competition.

The result placed the Ghost in seventh place in the Series B. Londrina remained with 22 points and occupies the 18th place, within the relegation zone.

The victory also ended a six-game period without a win for the Ponta Grossa team in the competition and put the team back in the race for the top positions of the table.

Worker opens the scoreboard at the beginning

The PR Worker needed only four minutes to stay ahead in the VGD. Hildeberto Pereira received from the left side, advanced and finished to open the score for the Phantom.

After the goal, Londrina tried to increase the pressure in search of the draw, but the Ponta Grossa team managed to control the opponent's main shots and took the lead from 1 to 0 for the interval.

In the final stage, the Shark began to pursue the attack with greater intensity.

Londrina empata de penalties

The reaction of the owners of the house happened in the 33 minutes of the second half. After touching the hand of the Worker's defense within the area, the arbitration scored penalty points for Londrina.

Gilberto went to the collection and scored, leaving the classic Paranaense tied in 1 to 1.

The result seemed to be on track until the final minutes, but the Ghost attacked again and managed to decide the match.

Boschilia scores at 45 and guarantees victory

45 minutes into the second half, Gabriel Boschilia swings the nets and puts the PR Worker back in the lead. The goal confirmed the 2-1 victory in the Londrina vs Operário duel and secured three important points for the Ponta Grossa club.

With the triumph away from home, the Phantom reached 40 points and took the seventh place in the Serie B of the Brazilian Championship.

Londrina, in turn, remained with 22 points and continues in 18th position.

Next game of the Worker

The PR Worker is already back on the field on Wednesday (9), for the 27th round of Serie B. The Ghost receives the CRB at 8:30.

Londrina plays the next day. On Thursday (10), at 7:30 pm, the Shark faces St. Bernard away from home.
