Operário beats Sport in comeback win in Ponta Grossa and dreams of G6

The Worker wins Sport by 3 to 2, in turn, this Friday (6), in Estádio Germano Krüger, in Ponta Grossa, for the 37th round of the Serie B of the Brazilian Championship of 2026. With the result, the Phantom reached 54 points and kept alive the possibility of reaching the G6, group that guarantees participation in the playoffs of access to the elite of national football.

The match was marked by emotion, five goals and two reactions of the team from Ponta Grossa, which had to seek the result after falling behind in the scoreboard on two occasions.

Playing in front of the crowd, the Worker demonstrated recovery power and won three important points in the final straight of the competition.

Sport comes out in front, but Worker reacts twice

The Sport, in turn, remained with 55 points, in ninth position.

Despite the three points won, the situation of the Phantom remains complicated. The team relies on a combination of results from other competitors to reach the group of the top six.

The 2026 Series B regulations establish that the top two places guarantee direct access to the Série A. The clubs that finish between third and sixth place play in the playoffs, which define two other places in the national elite.

Therefore, in addition to winning his last commitment, the Worker needs to follow the results of the direct opponents in the dispute for the classification.

Final round will be decisive for the Worker

The next Ghost challenge is scheduled for November 14th, at 4.30 pm, in front of the Ponte Preta, outside the house.

On the same day and time, Sport receives Goiás, also in an important confrontation for the definition of the table.

The last round promises to move the dispute for the positions that guarantee participation in the access playoffs.
