Operation by the Civil Police ends with two arrested and drugs seized in Irati
Arrest in Irati: Civil Police detains two men during operation in the neighborhoods Vila São João and Vila Matilde and seizes crack, marijuana and cash.

An operation of the Civil Police of Paraná (PCPR) resulted in the arrest in Irati of two men, 41 and 26, on the afternoon of Friday (23). The actions took place in the neighborhoods Vila São João and Vila Matilde, in the South-Central region of Paraná, and ended with the fulfillment of a pretrial arrest warrant, a flagrant arrest for drug trafficking and the seizure of crack, marijuana and money.
The diligences were conducted by investigators of the 41st Regional Police Station of Irati. Initially, the aim was to locate a 41-year-old man, considered a fugitive from justice and investigated for the threat crime.
According to PCPR, information indicated that the suspect was hidden in a residence located near the intersection of the streets of Paz and Sossego, in the neighborhood Vila São João. The property was already monitored by the police after reports of possible commercialization of narcotics received by Disc-Denuncia 181.
Suspect with anklet is caught preparing crack
During the arrival of the teams at the investigated address, several individuals who were in front of the property ran into the residences when they perceived the presence of the vehicles.
The police carried out the approach and searched 12 people, nine men and three women. The operation was supported by the Military Police of Paraná (PMPR), responsible for the assistance in the containment of the perimeter and in personal magazines. A police officer of the Maria da Penha Patrol, of the 8th Independent Military Police Company, also participated in the approach to women.
During searches in one of the residences, investigators found a 26-year-old man wearing anklet. According to the Civil Police, he was on a bed fracturing and packing crack stones.
In the room, 20 crack stones were located, totaling six grams. Five units were already packed in aluminum foil, while another 15 were being prepared.
The police also seized 28 grams of marijuana, R$ 220.70 in cash, a card machine, a cell phone and a notebook with notes pointed out by the investigation as related to the accounting of trafficking.
Faced with the situation, the young man received a voice of arrest in flagrante on suspicion of drug trafficking.
Outlaw of Justice is located on Vila Matilde
While part of the police carried out the procedures in the property of Vila São João, another team continued the search for the 41-year-old, the initial target of the operation.
According to PCPR, the investigator had left the residence shortly before the arrival of the agents. After further diligence, it was located in a commercial establishment in Rua João Anciutti Pessoa, in the Vila Matilde neighborhood.
The man was arrested in compliance with the warrant for pre-trial detention issued by the Justice in an investigation related to the crime of threat, provided for in article 147 of the Penal Code.
Thus, the action that resulted in the arrest in Irati involved two distinct situations: the fulfillment of a court order against the 41-year-old investigator and the arrest in flagrante of the 26-year-old suspect for drug trafficking.
Prison during period of electoral restrictions
One of the aspects of the operation was compliance with the pre-trial arrest warrant during the period of electoral restrictions that precedes the second round of the 2026 elections, scheduled for Sunday (25).
Article 236 of the Electoral Code establishes restrictions on the arrest of voters from five days before the vote until 48 hours after the close of the elections, subject to the hypotheses provided for in the legislation.
According to the Civil Police, before the execution of the warrant against the 41-year-old man, the police authority consulted Justiça Eleitoral and confirmed that he was with political rights suspended. According to the corporation, this condition allowed the execution of the court order during the electoral period.
Two men sent to Irati Public Chain
After the arrests, the two men were referred to the 41st Regional Police Station of Irati, where judicial police procedures were carried out.
Afterwards, both were taken to the Public Chain of Irati, remaining at the disposal of the Judiciary.
The Civil Police reinforces that the collaboration of the population is important to identify drug trafficking points and assist in the location of people wanted by the Justice.
