Operation Nossa Senhora Aparecida starts this Saturday (9) on federal highways in Paraná
Operation will be carried out between Saturday (9) and Monday (12), with increased inspection and restriction of cargo vehicle circulation on single-lane roads.

The Federal Highway Police (PRF) intensifies, between Friday (9) and Monday (12), the surveillance and policing actions on the federal highways of the Paraná during Operation Nossa Senhora Aparecida 2026. The operation is carried out due to the holiday of the Patron Saint of Brazil, celebrated on Monday (12), and aims to reduce traffic violence, prevent accidents and ensure the mobility and fluidity of traffic during the period of greatest movement on the highways.
During the operation, the teams will intensify the monitoring of hazardous conducts, especially speeding, undue overtaking, drunkenness at the wheel, lack of a seat belt, inadequate transportation of children, lack of a helmet, use of a mobile phone and non-compliance with rest time by professional drivers. Actions to combat crime and traffic education will also be carried out.
Restrictions on traffic
To ensure smooth traffic, PRF will adopt restrictions on the movement of cargo vehicles exceeding the established limits of width, height, length or weight on federal single-lane highways, as per holiday-specific regulations. The measure will be applied in the following periods:
* Friday (9): from 16h to 22h;
* Saturday (10): from 6 am to noon;
* Monday (12): from 16h to 22h.

* Plan the trip and check the vehicle conditions before leaving.
* Respect speed limits and keep safe distance.
* Do not overstep in prohibited places, especially on single track stretches.
* Do not drive after consuming alcoholic beverages.
* Wear the seat belt on all seats.
* Carry children with the appropriate restraint device.
* Do not use your cell phone behind the wheel.
* In case of emergency, dial 191.
