Novenário of Our Lady Aparecida begins this Friday in Ponta Grossa and will have a special program until October 12th
The novenary of Nossa Senhora Aparecida on Ponta Grossa begins on Friday (3), at the Diocesan Shrine of Nossa Senhora Aparecida. The religious program continues until October 11 and prepares the faithful for the celebrations of the 12th, dedicated to the patron saint of Brazil.
In a special invitation to the readers of Portal BnT Online, the rector of the Shrine, Father Roberval Mülhstedt, highlighted the programming and invited the families of Ponta Grossa and region to participate in the activities.
“I am here to invite you and your family to participate with us in the novenary of Nossa Senhora Aparecida, which will take place from October 3 to 11,” the priest said.
Novenary begins this Friday
The novenas will be celebrated between the 3rd and the 11th of October, always at 7.30 pm, in the Diocesan Shrine of Nossa Senhora Aparecida. Each evening will have a special program, with celebrations presided over by invited priests.
In addition to the religious programming, the period will have solidarity actions. During the nine nights, the Procession of Charity will receive donations of different foods, which will be destined for the social projects of the parish.
The feast will also feature blessings for different groups in the community and the traditional Flower Procession.
Cycling tour integrates programming
On Saturday, October 11, the Patron Saint's Cycling Tour takes place. The concentration and departure are scheduled for 3 p.m., in the courtyard of Paróquia São Sebastião, where the Sanctuary is located.
Day 12 will have race, procession and Masses
The main programming will be held on Nossa Senhora Aparecida Day, on October 12, with activities from the early hours of the morning.
At 6:30, the start of the 3rd Race of Nossa Senhora Aparecida takes place. At 10 am, Mass will be celebrated with consecration of children.
One of the most traditional moments of the party takes place at 2 pm, when the faithful will leave in procession in front of the Hospital Bom Jesus destined for the Sanctuary.
Upon arrival, at 3 p.m., the Solemn Mass will be celebrated. At 7 p.m., a new celebration will mark the closure of the religious program.
“You are our special guest,” said Father Roberval Mülhstedt.
Party helps in the reconstruction of the Sanctuary
During the entire period, from 3 to 12 October, there will also be a food court on site, with different gastronomic options.
The program also includes the Awards Show, scheduled for 6 pm on the 12th. The tickets cost R$ 20 and the prizes announced include R$ 1,000, a Smart One electric motorcycle and a 1974 Beetle.
All the income collected during the festival will be earmarked for the reconstruction works of the Sanctuary. The space suffered significant damage during strong winds recorded on October 12, 2023.
