Over 300 properties are without power in Ponta Grossa Industrial District

The lack of power in the Ponta Grossa Industrial District and in nearby regions continues to cause disturbances for residents and educational establishments on Wednesday (23). In a note sent to Portal BnT Online, the Companhia Paranaense de Energia (Copel) confirmed that 329 consumer units are without electricity in the Industrial District. The problem also affected schools in the region, such as the municipal school Pascoalino Provisieiro and the state school Campo de Vila Velha, causing the cancellation of classes in the afternoon, this Wednesday (23).

Residents report that they have been facing supply problems since last Monday (21). In addition to residences completely without light, there are records of real estate with partial power supply, a situation popularly known as "half phase".

The public is also complaining about the difficulty of getting answers from the dealership. According to information sent to the report, several service protocols have been open since the beginning of the week, but part of the consumers remains without the adequate supply of electricity.

Copel confirms 329 units without power consumption

Looking for the BnT Online, Copel confirmed that power supply was cut off after the cable breakage caused by the heavy storms that hit the region.

According to the dealership, teams remain mobilized to carry out repairs and restore service.

"Copel reports that it is currently working to restore power to 329 consumer units in the Industrial District at Ponta Grossa. The shutdown was caused by the breaking of cables due to the heavy storms that hit the region.

The Copel teams remain mobilised to complete the repair and normalise the power supply as quickly as possible.”

According to the information passed on to the press, the supply is expected to "return soon".

Residents of the Industrial District report power shortages since Monday

Despite the official confirmation that hundreds of consumer units are without electricity, residents report difficulties in obtaining information about the situation during the services carried out by the dealership.

According to reports received by BnT Online, consumers who registered complaints received, in some calls, the information that the power supply was normalized.

In certain situations, there was also the indication that the lack of light could be related to internal problems in the electrical installations of the buildings.

However, residents say that the supply disruption affects several homes in the region, including homes that remain completely without power and others with partial supply.

The problems have been reported since Monday (21), when protocols of attendance with Copel began to be registered.

Lack of energy leads to class cancellations

The problem also affected educational establishments located in the Industrial District region.

According to information received by the report, the interruption in the power supply caused the cancellation of the classes scheduled for the afternoon of Wednesday (23), in the schools Pascoalino Provisieiro and Campo de Vila Velha.

The situation affects the routine of students, teachers and families, who need to reorganize their activities in the face of the suspension of classes.

Residents expect standardization of supply

With hundreds of consumer units still without electricity, residents of the Industrial District and nearby regions await the completion of repairs carried out by Copel.

The main complaint involves the delay in the normalization of the service and the information received during the calls, especially in cases where consumers report having been informed that the supply was normal.

The dealership confirmed the breakdown of cables due to the storms and said its teams are continuing to work to restore power.
