Paraná government recognizes emergency situation after intense rains in the region
Prudentópolis had its emergency situation recognized by the Paraná government after a storm with intense rains caused damage in the municipality
The Government of Paraná approved the emergency situation in the municipality of Prudentópolis, after the impacts caused by local storm/convective with intense rains. The measure was published in the Official Gazette of the State on Wednesday (16) and authorizes the action of the state bodies of Defesa Civil in support of the affected municipality.
The state decision confirms the municipal decree that declared an emergency situation in areas affected by the disaster. According to the document, the damage caused by heavy rains was recorded and formalized through the Disaster Information Form (FIDE), used to document occurrences of this type.

With the approval, the bodies that make up the State Protection System and Defesa Civil are authorized to provide complementary support to the municipality, through articulation with the State Coordination of Defesa Civil.
The emergency situation will have a validity of 180 days, counted from the publication of the declaration of abnormality at the municipal level. The state decree was signed by Governor Carlos Massa Ratinho Junior, the head of Casa Civil, João Carlos Ortega, and the state coordinator of Defesa Civil, Fernando Raimundo Schunig.
Prudentópolis is located in the Center-South region of Paraná, close to Campos Gerais, and registered losses resulting from the climate event that led the municipality to request the recognition of the emergency situation.
