Government of Paraná grants progression to 5,400 teachers in the state network and announces the call for another 224 professionals
About 5,400 teachers and pedagogues from the Paraná state education network will start the year 2026 with career progression. The grant of the benefit was published on Thursday (18), through a Joint Resolution of the Secretariat of Administration and Social Security (Seap) and the Secretariat of State for Education (Seed-PR).
The measure represents an investment of R$ 22.9 million from the State Government in the valorization of education professionals. Due to the closure of the December payroll, the progression will take place from January 2026, with proportional payment for the period from December 18 to 31, in addition to the full value of the month of January.
According to the government, the progression meets an old demand of the category and integrates a set of actions aimed at the enhancement of the state magisterium.
The Secretary of Administration and Social Security, Luizão Goulart, stressed that the measure recognizes the work of professionals. “Valuing the career of the magisterium is to invest directly in the quality of public education of Paraná,” he said.
The state secretary of Education, Roni Miranda, stressed that the progression contributes to the strengthening of the state network. “Recognizing and valuing the work of those who dedicate their lives to education is one of the highest priorities of the State Government,” he said.
Career progression consists of passing from one class to another within the same level, considering criteria such as performance evaluation and participation in training activities and professional qualification.

In addition to the progression, Seed-PR announced, also on Thursday (18), the appointment of 224 more teachers approved in public tender. The new professionals are expected to start their activities at the beginning of the 2026 school year. Information on the call will be updated on the IBFC website, responsible for the contest.
In 2025 alone, the Paraná has already appointed 2,304 teachers and pedagogues, in addition to offering about 2,000 standard folding positions and granting an average readjustment of 8.3% to the state magisterium.
