Passenger falls ill inside bus and mobilizes rescue teams in Ponta Grossa Center

A passenger went badly inside a bus of the line Terminal Central / New Russia, of the collective transport of Ponta Grossa on the afternoon of Thursday (24). The incident was recorded at around 3 p.m. in Coronel Bittencourt Street, near Santana College, in the central region of the city. The man suffered a seizure and had to be referred to the hospital after receiving emergency care.

According to information from the Traffic and Road Safety team, Matos and Merielle agents were patrolling the region when they spotted a bus from Viação Campos Gerais (VCG), with prefix 1277, stopped on the road for the disembarkation of passengers.

During the passage of the car, some passengers began to signal to the agents, pointing to the collective and screaming that there was a man suffering a seizure inside the vehicle.

In response to the situation, officers stopped patrolling, parked the vehicle and made road signs to ensure the safety of passengers and other drivers.

Transit team provided the first attendance

After identifying the situation, the agents provided the first services to the passenger and triggered the Mobile Emergency Service (Samu).

The medical team came to the site and performed the first aid procedures. The victim received care and was taken to the hospital.

To date, no information has been disclosed about the passenger’s health status or the hospital unit to which he was taken.

Traffic was partially blocked.

During the response to the incident, traffic on Coronel Bittencourt Street was on half a lane, near number 270, to allow the work of emergency teams and ensure the safety of those involved.

The restriction on the flow of vehicles was maintained until the completion of the care.

After the passenger was referred to the hospital, the Traffic and Road Safety team prepared the report of the occurrence.
