Pedestrian hit by motorcycle on Visconde de Mauá in Ponta Grossa
32-year-old pedestrian suffered contusions and abrasions; accident occurred in Oficinas region, near Posto Trevo

A hitch on Ponta Grossa left a 32-year-old pedestrian injured on Monday night in the Avenida Visconde de Mauá, in the region of Talleres. According to information passed on by rescue teams, the victim was hit by a motorcycle near the Trevo Post, in a curve of access to the highway.
According to the first information obtained at the scene, two people were on the motorcycle, a man and a woman. The vehicle was on Avenida Visconde de Mauá when, during the turn, the driver lost control of the steering.
At this moment, the motorcycle ended up hitting the pedestrian, who was crossing the track. After the impact, the bike would still have been unruled and struck against a nearby wall.
Man suffered bruise and abrasions
The 32-year-old pedestrian was taken care of by a Siate team. According to the information passed on by the rescuers, he had bruises and abrasions in the lumbar region, in the hands and feet.
Despite the injuries, the initial report points out that the man was not struck frontally by the motorcycle. The contact would have occurred laterally, before the bike was unruled and hit the wall.
After the first visits on site, the victim was referred for medical evaluation. The initial information is that the pedestrian would be taken to the UPA Santana.
Motorcycle occupants had minor injuries
The couple who were on the motorcycle also suffered minor injuries. Preliminary information indicates that the two were treated after the accident and referred for medical evaluation.
There was, initially, divergent information about the health unit to which the occupants would be taken, with indication of possible referral to the UPA Santa Paula.
When service teams arrived at the crash site, the motorcycle was no longer at the point of the accident. According to information obtained at the scene, the vehicle was reportedly removed by people.
The exact circumstances of the accident shall be clarified by the competent authorities. So far, the reported dynamics indicate that the loss of control of the motorcycle during the curve would have preceded the run-in and collision against the wall.
