PF checks possible escape of Flávio Bolsonaro from Brazil; ally denies trip
Investigation began after news that senator had passed through Argentina to head to the United States; departure from the country is not confirmed

The Federal Police verify if the senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) left Brazil, after the disclosure of information about a possible trip to Argentina. The count comes after Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), determines the delivery of the parliamentary passports and prohibits him from leaving the country. Senator Rogério Marinho, coordinator of Flavio’s presidential campaign, denied that he had traveled abroad.
The suspicion arose from a report published by the Argentine portal Infobae in the early hours of Tuesday (27). According to the vehicle, the senator crossed the land border using an identity document and would go to Puerto Iguazú, in the province of Misiones, where he would board a private plane towards the Estados Unidos. The information about the presence of Flávio in Argentina has not been confirmed.
Argentine authorities have been
The PF contacted Argentine authorities to check the possible passage of the parliamentary through the neighboring country. The objective is to verify the information released about the displacement and a possible boarding at the Argentine airport.
The aircraft is a Gulfstream G400. Although a possible trip to the Estados Unidos was pointed out, it found no take-off records for the destination on the date cited. The movement of the aircraft alone does not prove that the senator was among the passengers.
Allies deny leaving the country
Rogério Marinho stated that Flavio did not leave Brazil. Before the disclosure of the alleged trip, the senator himself had declared that he never thought of leaving the country and that he would hand over his passports to the Federal Police, according to the judicial determination.
In a video released on Monday, Flávio attributed Moraes’ order to a statement from his brother, Eduardo Bolsonaro, who had suggested he leave Brazil in case of electoral defeat. This is the version presented by the parliamentary on the motivation of the measure.
Until the information consulted for this report, there was no confirmation that Flávio Bolsonaro had crossed the border or embarked for the Estados Unidos. The possible exit remains under verification.
