Ponta Grossa will be the scene of two political mobilizations in support of the presidential candidate of the Republic Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) this week. The races are scheduled for Thursday (22) and Saturday (24), on the eve of the second round of the presidential elections, scheduled for Sunday (25). The events have the support of prefeita Elizabeth Schmidt, the elected state deputy Ricardo Zampieri (PL) and the announced participation of the elected governor of Paraná, Sergio Moro.

The first demonstration is scheduled for Thursday (22), with a concentration starting at 4 pm, in front of the Clube América Social, in the Rua Coronel José Miró de Freitas. The departure of the participants is scheduled for 17h. The mobilization was reported by local political leaders and aims to gather supporters of the Flávio Bolsonaro candidacy in the decisive line of the presidential dispute.

The organization invites residents of Ponta Grossa and municipalities of Campos Gerais to participate with cars, motorcycles and bicycles. Ricardo Zampieri works in the regional coordination of the presidential campaign and is directly involved in the articulation of political activities in the municipality.

Sergio Moro is expected to participate in the Ponta Grossa carriage

One of the main names announced for Thursday’s mobilization is Sergio Moro, elected governor of the Paraná in the first round of the 2026 elections. The announced presence of Moro reinforces the participation of state leaders in the Flávio Bolsonaro campaign, which faces President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) in the second round.

In addition to Moro, prefeita Elizabeth Schmidt and Ricardo Zampieri are among the supporters of the initiative. The participation of the leaders highlights the local political articulation around the PL’s candidacy, especially in the last days before the vote.

Second carriage will be held on Saturday (24)

The program also includes a second demonstration, called the "Carreata da Vitória", on Saturday (24), the eve of the presidential election. A post on the social networks of the campaign committee on Ponta Grossa announces concentration at 2 pm and departure at 3 pm for Saturday’s mobilization. The convocation presents the event as one of the main closing actions of the campaign in the city.

The point of concentration and the complete route of this second carriage still need confirmation. There is also no verified information about possible roadblocks or traffic changes during events.

Presidential elections will be decided on Sunday

The two demonstrations come at a decisive moment in the presidential race. On Sunday, October 25, Brazilian voters will return to the polls to choose between Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).

According to the official calendar of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), the vote will be held from 8 am to 5 pm, during the time of Brasilia. The electoral legislation allows for carriages, walks and walks until 10pm on Saturday (24), provided that the rules of electoral propaganda are respected. Therefore, the second mobilization is scheduled for the last day on which this type of campaign activity is allowed before the vote.

With the holding of the two events, Ponta Grossa is part of the agenda of political mobilizations organized by Flávio Bolsonaro supporters in Paraná, as the presidential dispute enters its final days.
