Plantation of saplings at Olarias Lake will have 300 native trees in Ponta Grossa

The planting of seedlings in the Lake of Olarias, in Ponta Grossa, will be carried out this Saturday (19), from 9 am to 12 am, with the forecast of approximately 300 native species planted in the place. The action integrates the activities of the National Tree Day and will have open participation of the community.

The initiative is carried out by Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa, through the Municipal Secretariat of Meio Ambiente, and seeks to bring residents closer to environmental preservation actions and enhancement of green spaces in the city.

The Lake of Olarias, one of the main public spaces of leisure and coexistence of the municipality, goes through a process of revitalization with services of de-association. The planting is part of the actions aimed at the conservation and environmental improvement of the area.

Community may participate in the action

The activity was planned to encourage collective participation in the care of public spaces.

During Saturday morning, residents will be able to follow and participate in the planting of native seedlings, contributing to the expansion of the vegetation of the site and to the strengthening of the environmental characteristics of the region.

In addition to the City Hall, the action counts on the participation of the Extension Project of the Journalism Course of the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG), Environmental Standards, Journalism Agency, João do Rio Academic Center (Cajor) and CONEA.

Action integrates National Tree Day

The planting of seedlings in the Olarias Lake occurs in allusion to the National Tree Day, celebrated in September.

The proposal is to stimulate environmental awareness and reinforce the importance of preserving green areas within the urban environment.

According to the organization, approximately 300 seedlings of native species will be planted, contributing to the recovery and environmental valorization of the space.

The guidance to the participants is to bring water for hydration and to use sunscreen during the activity.
