PM arrests man for assaulting woman and seizes over 1.7 kg of marijuana in Irati
A total of 1.734 kg of marijuana and 3.8 grams of cocaine were seized.

A man was arrested on Tuesday (8) in the Lagoa neighborhood of Irati for the crimes of domestic violence and drug trafficking.
According to the incident report, the police team was called in to respond to an incident of assault. At the scene, the victim reported having been assaulted by the cohabitant. Before the complaint, the suspect was approached and received a voice of arrest. According to the PM, it was necessary to use handcuffs, as provided in the Binding Summum No. 11 of the STF, to ensure the integrity of those involved and avoid the risk of escape.
During the treatment, the police were informed of the existence of drugs in the residence. With the consent of the victim, the team searched the property and found substances hidden under the bed and in the drawer of the wardrobe.
In all, 1,734 kg of marijuana and 3.8 grams of cocaine were seized. In the same place was found a precision scale, which, according to the police, characterizes indications of drug trafficking.
The author and the victim were referred for the performance of a report of bodily injury and, subsequently, presented at the Civil Police Station for the appropriate measures. All the narcotic material has been seized.
The victim was guided on her rights and on the protective measures provided for in the Maria da Penha Law. Police also pointed out that the couple has a 2-year-old daughter, who witnessed the assaults and lived in an environment with the presence of narcotics.
