Suspect truck involved in fatal crash in Ponta Grossa is located by PM. Accident killed 18-year-old man in Cará-Cará
The military police located, on the morning of Sunday (18), the truck suspected of involvement in the fatal hitch on Ponta Grossa, which caused the death of Claudinei Lima Fagundes, 18, and left two other people injured. The accident occurred around 5:15 a.m., at Avenida Pedro Wosgrau, in the Cara-Cara region.
The vehicle was found around 10 am, inside the garage of a residence in the same neighborhood, after steps taken by the Local Intelligence Agency (ALI) of the 1st Battalion of the Military Police.
During the check, the police identified damage to the front of the truck, considered compatible with the suspicion of involvement in the hitch.
A family member admitted to being involved in an accident
According to the Military Police, the person in charge of the property reported that a relative had used the truck the night before and returned to the residence during the early hours of the morning.
When asked about the damage to the vehicle, the man allegedly admitted to having been involved in a traffic accident. He then left the residence, without informing his whereabouts.
The Military Police has activated the competent bodies for the necessary procedures. At the direction of the Civil Police, the truck remained in the building, at the disposal of the authorities responsible for the investigation.
So far, there is no confirmation of imprisonment related to the case.

As previously reported by Portal BnT Online, the hitting occurred early on Sunday (18), at Avenida Pedro Wosgrau, in the vicinity of the former Wosgrau company, in the Cara-Cara region.
Three people were hit by a vehicle. Claudinei Lima Fagundes, only 18, could not resist the injuries and died at the scene. The other two victims suffered minor injuries, according to preliminary information.
The identity of the young man was confirmed over the course of Sunday. The case generated an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the hit and identify the responsibility for what happened.
Civil Police Investigate the Circumstances of the Accident
The location of the truck represents a breakthrough in the investigations. The work was carried out by the Local Intelligence Agency, with the support of the operational teams of the 1st BPM.
Now, the authorities must ascertain the dynamics of the accident, confirm the involvement of the vehicle located and clarify who was behind the wheel at the time of the hitch.
The responsibility for the accident has not yet been officially established, and the case remains under investigation by the Civil Police.
