The strategy of the security forces contemplates an ostensible presence in electoral colleges, constant patrol and integrated actions with other security bodies and the Justiça Eleitoral.

Operational Structure and Integration

According to the guidelines of the command of the 1st BPM, the police will count on:

Security in the polling places: Presence of police officers in the points of greatest concentration of voters in the urban area, acting in an integrated manner with the Municipal Civil Guard.

Itinerant patrols in the countryside: Continuous and reinforced rounds on roads and communities in rural areas.

Dedicated service vehicles: Detached garrisons with the exclusive function of attending and recording electoral occurrences, speeding the forwarding of possible infractions.

Intelligence and technology: Employment of specialized teams, real-time monitoring through video monitoring cameras and preventive work of the intelligence sector.

What you can and can't on the day of the vote

In an official statement, the battalion’s media officer, 2nd Lieutenant PM Jamier, reinforced the legal limits of electoral legislation to prevent voters and supporters from committing crimes on election day.

Allowed: The legislation authorizes only the individual and silent manifestation of the voter’s preference. It is allowed to attend the polling place carrying folded flags, brooches, disks, stickers or t-shirts of the candidate or party, provided that there is no crowding or approach to third parties.

Prohibited (Electoral Crime): Conducts such as:

Practical urn mouth;

Approach or persuasion of voters;

Distribution of any campaign material (saints, pamphlets, leaflets);

Agglomerations with standardized clothing or loud/collective demonstrations that configure political propaganda.

Channels for Reports

The 1st BPM guides the population to exercise the right to vote with serenity, civic spirit and respect for norms. When witnessing irregularities, voting purchases, ballot boxes or disturbance of the quiet near the electoral sections, the citizen can immediately report through the following channels:

Directly to military police officers on duty at the polling place;

Military Police: Emergency telephone number 190;

Municipal Guard: Phone 153;

Justiça Eleitoral: Official Bird App (available for Android and iOS).

The Paraná Military Police reiterates its commitment to the integrity of the democratic process: "Our troops are prepared and oriented to act in a preventive manner and ensure that everyone can exercise citizenship in safety," the corporation reinforces.
