PM seizes drugs, ammunition and replica weapon in Ponta Grossa

An action by the Military Police ROCAM resulted in the seizure of drugs, ammunition and a firearm drill on Thursday night in the Uvaranas neighborhood, in Ponta Grossa.

Around 8:10 p.m., during motor patrols in the region, the team received complaints from residents about an intense and suspected movement of drug trafficking in a recycling establishment.

In the vicinity of the indicated place, the police approached a woman. With it, a portion of marijuana was found. Asked, she reported having acquired the narcotic at the reported establishment.

Before the information, the team went to the site and carried out searches. The seizure included 13 servings of cocaine, 74 crack stones, one serving of marijuana, nine 22-caliber ammunition, a firearm drill, a precision scale and cash.

According to the PM, there were previous reports of drug trafficking at the same address.

The persons involved and all the material seized were referred to the 4th Regional Flagrants Central for judicial police procedures.

The PM stressed that the action reinforces the importance of integration between the ostensible police and the community’s complaints for the fight against trafficking and the increase of security in the neighborhoods of Ponta Grossa.
