A motorcycle with R$ 146,000 in debts in Ponta Grossa was seized by the Military Police on Sunday, during an inspection carried out in the central region of the city. According to the 1st Military Police Battalion (1st BPM), the man who drove the vehicle did not possess a National License (CNH).
The approach took place at the crossroads of Avenida Vicente Machado and Rua Benjamin Constant, where a police team maintained a fixed Base Point.
According to the Military Police, the officers noticed the motorcycle circulating with the tampered exhaust, known as free discharge, and without the rear-view mirror on the right side.
Faced with the irregularities observed, the team carried out the approach of the vehicle.
Driver did not have CNH
During the inspection, the police found that the person responsible for the motorcycle was not authorized to drive vehicles.
The consultation also revealed other pending issues related to the motorcycle. According to the PM, the seal of the plate was violated and there was a high value in accumulated debts.
The amount of pending cases exceeded R$ 146,000, as informed by the 1st BPM.
The Military Police did not detail in the statement the individual origin of the values that make up the total, such as fines, taxes or other charges related to the vehicle.
The motorcycle was picked up
After the inspection, the driver received guidance on the irregularities identified and on the administrative procedures adopted.
The police made the Traffic Infringement Acts (TIAs) corresponding to the situations verified during the approach.
The motorcycle was collected and sent to the courtyard of the 1st Military Police Battalion, in Ponta Grossa.
The seizure occurred during a traffic control action carried out in the city center.
According to the Military Police, such approaches aim to verify the conditions of circulation of vehicles and compliance with the requirements provided for in the traffic legislation.
