PM seizes over 7 kilograms of drugs and ecstasy pills in Ponta Grossa

An action by the Military Police resulted in an expressive drug seizure on Thursday night, around 8 pm, in the Contorno neighborhood, in Ponta Grossa.

The incident began during an approach in the vicinity of a residence. Upon realizing the presence of the police team, an individual who was in the property undertook an escape. Searches were carried out in the immediate vicinity, but it was not located.

During the diligences in the residence, the police found several narcotic substances, in addition to materials commonly used for the fractionation and marketing of drugs.

In all, they were seized:

- 6.5 kg of marijuana;

- 524 g of caterpillar;

- 113 ecstasy tablets;

- 79 g of hashish;

- 34 g of crack, fractionated into 144 stones;

- 7 g of cocaine;

- Two precision scales and a bank card.

All the material was forwarded to the 4th Regional Central of Flagrantes for the appropriate judicial police procedures.

According to the PM, the action resulted in the withdrawal from circulation of significant quantity and variety of narcotics, reinforcing the permanent work of the corporation in the fight against drug trafficking and in the preservation of the safety of the population.
