PM sequestrates revolver and ammunition in Neves neighborhood, in Ponta Grossa
Man told police he had bought the revolver for R$ 3,000 for personal security; the incident was forwarded to the Civil Police.
A firearm seized in Ponta Grossa was the result of an action by the Military Police held on Saturday (7), in the Neves neighborhood, in the Jardim Andorinhas region. During diligence related to a previous occurrence of threat, police located a .32 caliber revolver and six intact ammunition in a residence. A man was taken to the police station.
Military police locate vehicle during patrol
According to the information passed on by the Military Police, the team was patrolling the region when it continued the steps related to a previous occurrence of threat with the use of a firearm.
Police had information that a man suspected of involvement in the situation had left the scene in a vehicle.
During searches in the Neves neighborhood, the team found the car parked in front of a residence. The military contacted the resident to verify the information related to the occurrence.
Man claims to have bought a revolver for $3,000
During the conversation with the police, the resident reported that he had old disagreements with neighbors. He also reported that he had recently acquired a .32 caliber revolver, worth R$ 3,000.
According to the report presented to the police team, the weapon was purchased in order to ensure his personal safety.
According to the military police, the man voluntarily authorized the officers to enter the residence and indicated the place where the weapons were stored.
In the check, police found the .32 caliber revolver accompanied by six intact ammunition.
Firearms and ammunition were sent to the police station.
After the location of the weapon, the Military Police carried out the seizure of the revolver and the ammunition.
The man was sent, along with the seized materials, to the Civil Police Station of Ponta Grossa, where the appropriate legal procedures were adopted.
The bulletin released by the Military Police did not inform the age of the person involved, nor did it detail whether there was a record or documentation regarding the weapon.
There was also no information on any investigation or on the progress of the investigation related to the previous occurrence of threat.
