PMPR seizes rifles, pistol and drugs in São José dos Pinhais

The PMPR seizes rifles in São José dos Pinhais during a police intervention held on Wednesday (30), in the Rio Pequeno neighborhood, in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba. In addition to two rifles, police found a pistol, ammunition, drugs and other materials related to the incident.

According to information released by the Military Police of Paraná (PMPR), the situation began during an approach carried out by a team of the 17th Military Police Battalion (17th BPM). The police boarded a motorcycle that presented an alert in the system.

The woman who was driving the vehicle informed the police that she had recently purchased the motorcycle and that she was unaware of any restrictions. She also indicated the address where, according to her report, she had conducted the negotiation of the vehicle.

Armed suspect is located during probe

The police team followed to the informed address to continue the diligences. According to PMPR, during the action, the agents found a gunman.

According to the version presented by the corporation, upon realizing the presence of the police, the suspect would have attempted to shoot the team. There was a police reaction and the man was shot.

Medical attention was immediately called in to assist the suspect. The PMPR did not provide, in the material initially released, details about the state of health of the man after the care.

Weapons, drugs and ballistic vest seized

During the search, police found two rifles and a pistol, as well as ammunition of different calibers.

Two communicating radios, a ballistic vest and a balaclava were also seized. According to the Military Police, the teams also located bricks and portions of narcotic substances, two precision scales and a machine used for card payments.

The list of materials collected also includes cell phones and amounts in domestic and foreign currency. The amount and total value of the money were not reported by the corporation.

The PMPR seizes rifles in São José of the Pinhais in an occurrence that was investigated by the Civil Police after the conclusion of the military intervention.

The case was referred to the Civil Police

All the materials found during the incident were seized. Two people approached during the action were also referred to the Civil Police Station.

From the referral, it will be up to the Civil Police to carry out the judicial police procedures and to continue the investigation of the circumstances involving the weapons, drugs, motorcycle and other collected materials.

Until the publication of this article, no further details had been disclosed about any arrests, acts of commission or the provenance of the seized weapons.
