An arrest for drug trafficking took place on Thursday afternoon in the Neves neighborhood, in Ponta Grossa, during an action by the Military Police that ended with three people referred to the Civil Police Station. The occurrence resulted in the seizure of marijuana, cocaine, precision balance and other materials used, according to the PM, in the marketing of narcotics.
According to the Military Police, the team received complaints indicating that a man was conducting the sale of drugs using a black colored vehicle in the region of the lottings Costa Rica and Jardim das Flores, in Ponta Grossa.
With the information passed on, the police began patrolling and locating the car circulating on the public road. During the approach of the police team, the occupants of the vehicle presented behavior considered suspicious, especially the passengers who were in the rear seat, who would have tried to hide objects inside the car.
During the initial approach, none of those involved presented drugs or illicit objects in personal possession. However, in a search carried out inside the vehicle, the police found a bag containing separate portions of marijuana for possible commercialization.
In total, 378 grams of marijuana were seized, in addition to four servings of cocaine, weighing more than one gram. A cell phone and a precision scale were also located inside a backpack found in the car.
The Military Police also reported that, during the inspection, it was found that the driver did not have a National License (CNH). The vehicle also had administrative issues.
Those involved in the occurrence were identified as two men, aged 19 and 27, and a teenager, aged 17. All were referred to the Civil Police Station of Ponta Grossa, together with the seized materials, for the Judicial Police procedures.
The incident reinforces the actions carried out by the security forces in the fight against drug trafficking in Ponta Grossa, especially from complaints made by the population. The Military Police advises that information about suspicious activities can be passed safely through the official reporting channels.
