Police are examining a possible kidnapping of an app driver in the Souza Naves area of Ponta Grossa. A press conference is expected to clarify the case.
An incident involving the possible abduction of an app driver in Ponta Grossa is being investigated by law enforcement on Tuesday. Preliminary information indicates that the situation occurred in the region of Souza Naves Avenue, near the entrance to the Santa Luzia neighborhood.
An app driver was reportedly the victim of a possible abduction in Ponta Grossa after his partner received messages during the early hours of the morning informing him that he was in the hands of criminals. The suspects sent a photograph of the man in a forest region and demanded the payment of R$ 2,000 for his release. Before the complaint, the Military Police inserted the victim’s vehicle into an alert system and mobilized intelligence and support teams to locate the driver and identify those involved in the occurrence.
The case is being followed by the 1st Military Police Battalion (1st BPM), which announced a press conference to present the first clarifications on the occurrence.
The presentation of the information is scheduled for 14:40, at the headquarters of the 13th Police Subdivision (13th SDP), in Ponta Grossa. The aspiring officer Abreu will be responsible for clarifying the circumstances of the case.
