Police investigate possible robbery murder in Ponta Grossa after man's death

Civil Police are investigating a possible robbery in Ponta Grossa after a 53-year-old man was found dead inside a residence in the Dalabona neighborhood on Wednesday. The victim had injuries caused by knife wounds, and the property had signs of burglary. Personal objects were reportedly taken from the scene.

According to information released by the 13th Police Subdivision (SDP) of Ponta Grossa, the Military Police was called in to respond to the occurrence. Upon arriving at the address, the police found the already lifeless man in one of the rooms of the residence.

The body was covered with clothes that belonged to the property itself. Given the circumstances encountered, the Civil Police was called in to initiate the surveys and to ascertain what would have happened.

House turned upside down and missing objects

During the first investigations, the police found that the residence was turned upside down, with several objects outside its places and signs of burglary.

In addition, the disappearance of the victim's belongings was identified. These circumstances, associated with the injuries caused by a stab wound, led the investigators to consider the possibility of theft followed by death.

The crime of robbery occurs when a person is killed in the context of a theft. Despite the signs observed in the residence, the Civil Police emphasizes that, at the moment, the situation is still being investigated.

The hypothesis of larceny in Ponta Grossa should be clarified through the analysis of traces, testimonies and other diligences carried out by police teams.

Scientific Police conducting expert investigations on the spot

Scientific Police teams were in the residence to carry out the expert procedures necessary for the investigation.

Papiloscopists from the Civil Police also examined the property, looking for possible fingerprints and other elements that could contribute to the identification of those involved.

Investigators have also gathered information from witnesses, who can help reconstruct the events and identify possible suspects.

Until the release of official information, there was no confirmation of the authorship of the crime or announcement of arrests related to the case.

Civilian police call for help from the population

Investigations continue under the responsibility of the 13th Police Subdivision of Ponta Grossa, with due diligence aimed at identifying and locating the perpetrator or perpetrators of the death.
