Rural producer's robbery in Ponta Grossa is solved by the Civil Police; three suspects were detained in Balneário Camboriú
The robbery against a rural producer in Ponta Grossa, which took place between 14 and 15 October, was elucidated in a few hours by the Civil Police of Paraná. Three young people suspected of involvement in the death of the man, 55, were located and detained in Balneário Camboriú, in Santa Catarina, after an integrated operation between security forces.
According to the Civil Police, the investigation was conducted by the Operational Sector and the Homicide Sector of the 13th Police Subdivision (13th SDP) of Ponta Grossa.
The victim was found dead inside his own residence. According to police reports, the body was wrapped in a carpet with its hands tied and showed signs of violence.
The circumstances led the investigators to work with the hypothesis of robbery, a crime characterized by theft followed by death.
Suspects reportedly fled to Santa Catarina
After the crime, the suspects allegedly left Ponta Grossa using the victim’s vehicle and followed towards the coast of Santa Catarina. They are also investigated for the possible use of bank cards belonging to the rural producer.
The incident report was recorded on Thursday night (15). From the first information, civilian police began diligence to try to identify the people involved and locate the assets taken from the property.
Road monitoring systems played an important role in the investigation. Through the tools, the agents were able to follow the movement of the victim’s car and identify that the vehicle was in the Balneário Camboriú region.
The information was then shared with the Santa Catarina Military Police, who carried out the approach and arrested the three suspects.
Police investigate the dynamics of crime
During the proceedings, one of the investigators, pointed out by the Civil Police as a possible main articulator of the crime, would have admitted participation in the case.
According to the version presented by the suspect to the investigators, he had entered into a bodily struggle with the rural producer after an argument and caused the death of the victim by asphyxiation.
The Civil Police, however, consider that other elements found in the place need to be confronted with this report. The fact that the victim was located with his hands tied, wrapped in a carpet and with signs of violence is analyzed by investigators to clarify exactly how the crime happened.
Therefore, despite the rapid identification and location of the suspects, the proceedings on the robbery against rural producer in Ponta Grossa continue.
Integration helped in location
According to the Civil Police, the exchange of information between the security forces and the use of technological systems were fundamental for the suspects to be found a few hours after the occurrence was recorded.
The investigation now seeks to delimit the participation of each of the three young people, clarify the motivation and reconstruct the entire dynamic of crime.
The elements gathered during the diligences will also be used in the police procedure that should subsidize the criminal liability of those involved.
The case remains under investigation by the Civil Police of Paraná.
