Speak up, gals of the Boca no Trombone Portal!

Today our column starts in a different way. Before I speak of any other subject, I want to congratulate, of course, the 203 years of our dear and beloved Ponta Grossa.

And I say loved without any shame: I love my city.

Of course Ponta Grossa has problems. Many, including. Like any city, it has its difficulties, its contradictions, its mistakes and what still needs to be improved.

But this is where I was born. This is where I grew up, studied, graduated and built my story. This is where I get my livelihood. This is where I meet my friends, my family, my walking companions and so many people who are part of the minha vida.

Ponta Grossa is the minha casa.

And this is where I want to win in life.

I’m not just talking about money or professional success. I'm talking about building a life I can be proud of. From learning, every day, to being a human being a little better than yesterday.

Because there is a phrase that many people repeat: “We need to change the world.”

Pretty, isn't it?

But maybe we're looking too far.

Because the world begins on our street.

It starts in our house.

It starts in our family.

It starts with how we treat our neighbor.

It starts with respect for the worker.

It begins when we take care of our square, our sidewalk, our city.

If everyone does their part where they live, maybe we can really change something.

And that’s why, on this 203th anniversary, I don’t just want to congratulate Ponta Grossa.

I want our city to continue to value what is most important to it.

Your people.

The people of Ponta Grossa, working, orderly, struggling, who wake up early, face difficulties, take buses, open their shop, go to the factory, to the trade, to the office, to the school, to the hospital...

People who make this city happen every day.

Ponta Grossa is not just buildings, streets, neighborhoods or numbers.

Ponta Grossa is us.

And if we want a better city, we also need to be better people inside it.

Congratulations, Ponta Grossa!

Congratulations to the Pontagrossenses!

May many more years of history, growth and achievements come.

And that our city never forgets to value what really makes it a special city:

His people.

EXCELLENT WEEKEND

WE HEAR ROCK'N'ROLL AND BE HAPPY
