Ponta Grossa City Hall will pay the 13th salary advance this Saturday (11)

The advance of the 13th salary in Ponta Grossa will be paid on Friday (11) to more than 10,000 municipal servants. The City Council has confirmed that it will deposit the first installment more than 70 days in advance of the deadline for payment, at the end of November.

According to the Municipality, the early release was possible after a series of financial organization measures adopted throughout the year, in addition to the early transfer of resources saved by Câmara Municipal de Ponta Grossa.

According to the Municipal Secretariat of the Treasury, approximately R$ 22 million should be injected into the economy of Ponta Grossa with the payment to the servers. The expectation is that some of the money will be directed to the city’s trade and services sector.

The City Council cites adjustments in the accounts

The municipal secretary of the Treasury, Cláudio Grokoviski, says that the Municipality had to make adjustments in the face of the reduction of some revenues throughout the year.

According to him, the fall in transfers related to the IPVA and the Income Tax affected the municipal administrations in the Paraná and demanded greater control of expenses.

“The drop in transfers of the IPVA and Income Tax have affected the municipalities of the Paraná greatly, requiring significant financial adjustments. With efficient spending control and collection, prioritizing tax justice, Ponta Grossa was able to reorganize the budget and ensure anticipation,” said Grokoviski.

R$ 22 million should move local economy

prefeita Elizabeth Schmidt stressed that, in addition to directly benefiting municipal servers, the anticipation could generate reflections on the economy of Ponta Grossa.

“Win the server and win the local economy. It is R$ 22 million spinning in our city, where each server will choose its priorities and will be able to move the trade, the sectors of service provision and many others,” he said.

According to the mayor, the decision is also linked to the planning of the public accounts and the financial organization of the Municipality.

“We reaffirm our commitment to the well-being of public servants and, at the same time, to a responsible management of public resources,” Elizabeth Schmidt added.

With the confirmation, the more than 10,000 municipal servants will be able to count on the first installment of the 13th salary as early as Friday (11). The payment takes place in a period that also precedes the celebrations of the anniversary of Ponta Grossa and is expected to expand the circulation of resources in local commerce.
