Ponta Grossa has the fourth largest electorate in Paraná; check the numbers

Ponta Grossa has 258,079 eligible voters in the 2026 elections, which places the municipality as the fourth largest electoral college of Paraná. The data are contained in the information material released by the Regional Electoral Court of Paraná (TRE-PR) to guide coverage and the population on the vote of this Sunday, October 4.

In the state, there are 8,609,026 voters, the fifth largest electorate in Brazil. At the head of Ponta Grossa are Curitiba, with 1.410.995 voters; Londrina, with 393.986; and Maringá, with 301.817. Cascavel appears in fifth position, with 239.319. The vote will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. In the event of a second round, the scheduled date is October 25.

Voters will make six choices at the polls.

This year, voters will have to register six elections. The voting order begins with a federal deputy, followed by a state deputy, senator for the first seat, senator for the second seat, governor and president of the Republic. In the dispute over the Senate, it will be necessary to choose two different candidates. In accordance with the guidelines of TRE-PR, it is not possible to vote on the caption for this position or on candidates who are vying for election by another state.

Consultation at the polling place requires attention

Before leaving the house, the voter must check their voting address and section number. The consultation can be made through the e-Title application or the Election Self-Service, on the website of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE). The TRE-PR reports that sections of 105 municipalities in Paraná were remanaged for reasons such as works, reforms and lack of accessibility. The material also warns of the possibility of changes related to weather conditions.

To vote, you must present an official document with a photo. Among the accepted documents are identity card, CNH, passport and e-Title, provided that the application presents the photograph of the voter. The electoral title on paper is not mandatory.

Paraná will have more than 27,000 polling stations

The structure of the elections in Paraná covers the 399 municipalities, with 27,333 electoral sections, 4,841 polling places and 30,174 ballot boxes. Approximately 143,000 messiahs and collaborators will work in the state. Of the total Paraná voters, 97.37% have biometrics registered. Women make up 53% of the electorate, with more than 4.5 million voters.
