Ponta Grossa Municipality laments death of municipal guard

Diogo Santos Machado, 43, a member of the Municipal Civil Guard (GCM), died on Saturday (17). The server operated in the Maria da Penha sector and had the death officially regretted by Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa.

Diogo was a Class 3 Municipal Civil Guard and, according to the note of regret released by the municipality, had acted as a public servant for four years. So far, the cause of death has not been officially disclosed.

The City Council expressed deep regret for the loss of the member of the corporation. The official communication informed the name, age and time of service of Diogo, highlighting his link with the municipal administration.

Veil and burial of Diogo Santos Machado

According to information from Serviço Funerário Municipal de Ponta Grossa, Diogo Santos Machado passed away on Saturday, October 17.

The body is being veiled in Santana’s Chapel of Grief, in Ponta Grossa, where family, friends and colleagues can pay their last respects.

The burial is scheduled for Monday (19), at 9 am. The cemetery will still be defined by the family, according to the funeral information available so far.
