Ponta Grossa Municipality Rewards 9 Schools Among the 300 Best in PR

The Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa, through the Municipal Secretariat of Education, began this week the delivery of the awards won by the nine schools that were among the 300 best of the Paraná. The technology kits sent to the awarded schools have 30 chromebooks and 30 headsets; in Ponta Grossa, the materials will be used in Creative Learning Laboratories (LACs).

Recognition of the work of the municipal network

“In addition to assisting in activities, the delivery of materials is an important recognition for students, teachers and the entire school community. We are very proud of the work built by our Municipal Network and we want to move even further”, summarizes the secretary Joana D’Arc Panzarini Egg, recalling achievements such as the largest Ideb in the history of Ponta Grossa and the result of the research of the ‘National Commitment...

The declaration highlights the collective commitment that has led municipal schools to rank among the best in the state. The recognition reinforces the importance of investing in technology and pedagogical innovation to maintain the quality of education.

Direct impact on learning laboratories

Elaine Cristina, a teacher at LAC at Aristeu Pinto School, highlighted the importance of new computers for children’s learning. “It gives us the possibility to work even more content and activities focused on innovation and the environment, it will be very important for our day-to-day”, he says.

The Creative Learning Laboratories are spaces dedicated to pedagogical practices that stimulate creativity, computational thinking and problem solving. With the new equipment, teachers will be able to expand the activities of robotics, programming and interdisciplinary projects.

Schools in different neighborhoods

In addition to the historical indices achieved, the City Council invests in the construction and expansion of several Schools and CMEIs, creating, for the academic year 2026 alone, more than 1,200 new positions for the Educação Infantil. With this, the Municipal Network has exceeded the mark of 32,000 students enrolled.

The growth of the network reflects the demand for quality public education and the response of public authorities with adequate infrastructure. The expansion of vacancies is essential to serve families and reduce queues in daycares and preschools.

Uniforms guaranteed for all students

In addition, all the children of the Municipal Network have guaranteed, for this year, new kits of uniforms – as was already done by the City Hall in 2025. The measure ensures identification, safety and equality among students, as well as alleviating the budget of families.

The continuity of the delivery of uniforms demonstrates planning and care for the well-being of the students. The standardization also contributes to the feeling of belonging to the school community.

With these actions, Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa reinforces its commitment to public education by combining recognition, technology and infrastructure. The expectation is that the new equipment and investments will further boost the educational indicators of the municipality.
