Ponta Grossa Municipality Trains Environmental Inspection Teams
Ponta Grossa Municipality trained Environmental Inspection teams with updates on legislation, procedures and field actions.

The Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa, through the Municipal Secretariat of Meio Ambiente, promoted on Thursday (17) a training aimed at the servers that act in the Environmental Supervision of the Municipality. The activity was carried out at the Environmental Education Center (CEA) and aimed to improve the technical knowledge of the teams and strengthen the procedures adopted in the monitoring actions.
The training is part of the continuous work of qualification of municipal servers and sought to update information, align practices and ensure greater technical security in the performance of professionals in the face of different environmental demands met daily.
During the training, topics related to environmental legislation, competences of public bodies, administrative police power, supervision procedures, integrated action with other institutions, urban tree planting, environmental administrative processes, application of penalties, fines, environmental compensation and contract supervision were addressed.
Qualification of the teams
The Municipal Secretariat of Meio Ambiente highlights that environmental monitoring involves different situations and requires technical preparation so that the teams can act in a preventive, indicative and also in the application of the measures provided for in the legislation when necessary.
According to the municipal secretary of Meio Ambiente, Carla Kritski, the update of the servers contributes to improve the quality of care provided to the population.
“Environmental monitoring requires technical knowledge, responsibility and well-founded decisions. Therefore, investing in the training of our servers also means qualifying the service that reaches the population. When we align procedures and update knowledge, we give more conditions for teams to act in an indicative, preventive manner and, when necessary, adopt the measures provided for in the legislation with the necessary technical security,” he said.
Integration and standardization
In addition to the technical contents, the meeting also provided the exchange of experiences between the servers, with debates on practical situations found during the monitoring activities.
The Secretariat's proposal is to maintain a permanent process of improvement of the teams, ensuring greater standardization of internal procedures and contributing to a more efficient performance in environmental protection of the municipality.
