Tourism events call in Ponta Grossa offers up to R$ 1.6 million in tax incentives for projects that boost tourism in 2027
The announcement of tourist events in Ponta Grossa was opened by Prefeitura Municipal to select projects to be carried out in 2027. The initiative, coordinated by the Municipal Secretariat of Tourism and the Municipal Council of Tourism, provides up to R$ 1.6 million in tax incentives linked to the IPTU to support events capable of attracting visitors and moving the local economy.
The proposal seeks to broaden the tourism calendar of the municipality, encourage new initiatives and strengthen sectors related to tourism, such as hospitality, gastronomy, trade and service provision.
Projects from different segments can participate, including business events, technical and scientific congresses, religious, cultural, sports, ecotourism and adventure tourism.
Incentive seeks to strengthen tourism and local economy
According to the City Council, the aim of the notice is to support initiatives that have the capacity to generate tourist flow and extend the stay of visitors in the city.
The municipal secretary of Tourism, Paulo Stachowiak, highlights that the events have a strategic role to move the economy.
“Events play a very important role in tourism because they bring people to Ponta Grossa and move a whole chain of services. With this announcement, we want to support initiatives that have the potential to attract visitors, strengthen our calendar and increasingly show the city as a tourist and event destination at Paraná,” he says.
Who can participate
Individual micro-entrepreneurs and legal entities can submit projects.
In cases where the person responsible for the project does not have its own technical capacity to organize the event, it will be necessary to have an organizing company registered in the Register of Tourist Service Providers.
The edict also establishes that the approved events should have at least one professional trained in Tourism and registered with the Municipal Secretariat of Tourism.
In addition, the projects contemplated should disclose the official tourist video of Ponta Grossa, the institutional brands of the municipality and information related to the incentive mechanism used.
Incentive values
For projects with a value of up to R$ 100,000, the capturing limit through the tax incentive will be up to 30% of the total value.
For projects above this value, the maximum cap will be R$ 50,000 per approved initiative.
The resources are aimed at stimulating events that contribute to the tourist information of the municipality and for the economic movement during its realization.
Applications for projects
The registrations for the tourist event notice in Ponta Grossa will be held between September 19 and October 19, 2026.
The registration must be done exclusively by the Online Protocol of Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa, using the subject: 2275 – Tourism – Project Registration
The preliminary result of the permit is scheduled for October 26, 2026. The final result of the approved projects should be released by January 15, 2027.
The certificates of approval will be sent by January 29, 2027.
