Ponta Grossa opens registrations for Race Equality Forum and COMPIR election
Event will take place on November 13 at the Ponta Grossa OAB; entities interested in joining the Council have until October 16 to register

The registration for the Racial Equality Forum in Ponta Grossa is open, which will be held on November 13, 2026, at the headquarters of the subsection of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB). In addition to the debates, the meeting will have the election of non-governmental entities that will integrate the Municipal Council for the Promotion of Racial Equality (COMPIR/PG).
According to the information released by Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa, through the Municipal Secretariat of Family and Social Development, there will be different deadlines for entities interested in competing for a seat on the Council and for people who wish to participate as listeners or voters.
The COMPIR is an active municipal council and acts in the monitoring of policies to promote racial equality. In its composition historically there is participation of the public power and civil society.
Entities have a deadline until October 16
Organizations interested in applying for a position in COMPIR must forward the required documentation in PDF format, through the electronic form available for the process.
The deadline ends at 23:59 on October 16.
Those who wish to follow the Forum as a listener or voter can register until October 30.
The election will be part of the program of the meeting and will define the non-governmental entities that will participate in the new composition of the Council.
Forum will be held at OAB
The IV Municipal Forum for the Promotion of Racial Equality will be held from 1 pm to 5.30 pm, at the headquarters of the OAB – Subsection Ponta Grossa, located at Rua Leopoldo Guimarães da Cunha, 510, in Oficinas.
The municipal secretary of Family and Social Development, Camila Calisto Sanches, stressed that the meeting also allows the participation of society in the discussion of public policies.
“The Forum is the space in which the community and the entities help to think about the public policies of the municipality, and the Council is the one who monitors and supervises these actions,” he said.
Ponta Grossa has held previous editions of the Forum, with debates related to the promotion of racial equality, education and public policies. In 2024, for example, the third municipal meeting was scheduled in partnership with UEPG.
