Ponta Grossa will have free programming for World Heart Day this Tuesday
World Heart Day in Ponta Grossa will have free programming this Tuesday (29), with experts and guidance on cardiovascular health.

The World Heart Day in Ponta Grossa will have special programming on Tuesday (29), with activities aimed at preventing cardiovascular diseases and raising awareness about healthier habits. In the city, the programming will be held at the NUTEAD Auditorium, at the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG), from 7 pm.
The mobilization is organized by the Paranaense Society of Cardiology (SPC) and will also take place in Curitiba, Londrina, Cascavel, Palotina and Toledo.
The initiative seeks to draw the attention of the population to cardiovascular health care. According to the SPC, cardiovascular diseases are among the main causes of death in Brazil, with more than 400,000 deaths registered annually.
Event in Ponta Grossa will be held in UEPG
In Ponta Grossa, the programming will feature the World Heart Day Symposium, bringing together professionals from different areas.
The activities will be attended by Dr. Sarah Grobe, nutritionist Gisane Gomes, Professor Dr. Leandro Vargas and Professor Dr. Nilo Okuno.
The proposal is to discuss prevention, quality of life and care capable of reducing the risks of cardiovascular diseases. The activity will be held in the NUTEAD Auditorium, at UEPG, at 7 pm.
Mobilization takes place in several cities of the Paraná
In addition to the World Heart Day in Ponta Grossa, other cities in Paraná will also have special actions on Tuesday.
Among the activities programmed by the Paranaense Society of Cardiology are practical training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), individual guidance on cardiovascular risks and actions specifically aimed at the health of the female heart.
The state programming will also have spaces designed to raise awareness about healthy habits.
According to the cardiologist and director of communication of the Paranaense Society of Cardiology, Dr. José Knopfholz, the proposal is to stimulate the population to observe everyday behaviors that can directly interfere with cardiovascular health.
“At this date, our doctors will be wearing the shirt to remind people that caring for the heart is perhaps one of the main points for a healthy and fulfilling life,” he says.
Cardiovascular prevention
Among the topics addressed by the campaign are diet, exercise, prevention of risk factors and identification of signs related to heart problems.
The campaign also highlights the importance of recognizing heart attack symptoms that may present differently between men and women.
