A possible tornado in Francisco Beltrão caught the attention of residents during the passage of a strong storm by Paraná on Monday night (21). Images recorded in the southwestern city of the state show an intense wind circulation, with large amounts of dust and objects being moved during the phenomenon.
In one of the records, a vehicle appears being lifted and dragged by the force of the wind, hitting another car that was nearby. The images quickly resonated on social media and raised the possibility of a tornado occurring during the storm.
In addition to Francisco Beltrão, other regions of Paraná were also hit by thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds, heavy rain and, in some points, hailfall. Weather conditions have caused disturbances and left residents on alert.
In the Campos Gerais, cities such as Ponta Grossa, Castro and Telêmaco Borba recorded the passage of the storm. In Ponta Grossa, residents reported moments of apprehension with the intensity of the winds during the night. Another affected municipality was Apucarana, in the north of Paraná, where the storm was accompanied by strong gusts of wind and hail. The phenomenon caused damage to structures, roofs, vehicles and the electricity grid.
