Operation Nossa Senhora Aparecida 2026 ended with 9 accidents, 8 injured and no deaths on federal highways in the Campos Gerais

Operation Nossa Senhora Aparecida 2026, carried out by the Federal Highway Police (PRF) on the federal highways of the Campos Gerais, ended with nine accidents, eight people injured and no deaths. The balance sheet released by the PRF Police Station in Ponta Grossa also points to the oversight of more than 500 vehicles during the extended holiday.
The operation took place between October 9 and 12. During the four days, the teams concentrated the police on the sections, periods and times with greater circulation of vehicles, with a focus on accident prevention, combating risk behaviors and maintaining the fluidity of traffic.
Nine accidents during the holiday
According to the PRF survey, nine accidents were recorded on federal highways served by the Ponta Grossa police station.
Of the total, three incidents had no casualties and six left people injured. Among the accidents recorded, one was classified as serious. In all, eight people were injured and 11 others were left unharmed. No deaths were recorded during the operation.
The result occurred even in a period marked by intense rainfall and wet tracks, conditions that increased the need for attention of drivers and led the PRF to reinforce preventive actions in the most critical sections.
More than 500 vehicles inspected
In addition to accident response, teams have intensified approaches to combating infractions related to collision risk and other accidents.
During the operation, 418 people and 542 vehicles were inspected. The police also conducted 116 ethanol tests, used to identify possible cases of drivers driving under the influence of alcohol.
24 vehicles were collected
The inspection also resulted in the withdrawal from circulation of vehicles that presented irregularities in documentation or inadequate safety conditions.
According to the balance sheet, 24 vehicles were collected in the courtyard. PRF has also collected 28 Vehicle Registration and Licensing Certificates (CRLV) for regularization. Among the points observed by the teams were the conditions of the tires, especially in the rainy period.
The PRF assessed that strengthening policing and targeting teams to critical points contributed to reducing risks during the holiday. Despite adverse weather conditions, no fatalities were recorded on the federal highways of the Campos Gerais under the responsibility of the PRF de Ponta Grossa Police Station.
