PRF seizes weapons and drugs hidden on women's bodies in bus in Paraná

The Federal Road Police (PRF) seized eight firearms, 14 ammunition and 3.4 kilograms of hashish during the inspection of two buses on Thursday night (10), on BR-277, in Santa Terezinha of Itaipu, in the west of Paraná. Two women, aged 26 and 22, were arrested.

The incidents were recorded at km 715 of the highway and drew attention to the way the materials were transported: both the weapons and the drug were hidden next to the bodies of the passengers and covered by the clothes.

The passenger carried eight guns next to the body.

The first approach took place around 9:10 p.m. The police were monitoring a bus that made the Foz do Iguaçu-Curitiba line when they noticed that a 26-year-old passenger showed intense nervousness.

During the check, the team found that the woman presented a large volume under the blouse. The material was attached to the body by means of an elastic strap.

In the approach, four pistols, four revolvers and 14 ammunition were located.

Among the weapons seized were a 9 mm pistol, two .45 caliber and a .380 caliber, as well as four .32 caliber revolvers. The 14 ammunitions were .45 caliber.

Hashish was hidden in the back

The PRF then boarded another bus that made the itinerary Foz do Iguaçu–São Paulo.

During the inspection, officers identified suspicious behavior in a 22-year-old passenger. She also carried a hidden volume under her clothes, this time attached to her back.

In the survey, the police found 3.4 kilograms of hashish.

Women were arrested

With the two occurrences, the PRF accounted for the seizure of eight firearms, 14 ammunition and 3.4 kg of hashish.

The two women were arrested and sent, along with the seized materials, to the Federal Police Station in Foz do Iguaçu, where the case was under the responsibility of the competent authorities.

The enforcement took place in one of the main road corridors connecting the border region with the rest of Paraná and other states.
