Two award-winning projects of the Ponta Grossa Social Assistance Foundation (FASPG) have put Ponta Grossa in the spotlight in the 15th edition of the AMAERJ Human Rights Award – Patrícia Acioli. The initiatives that have the participation of the Foundation have won the first and third places in the category “Works of Magistrates”.

The announcement of the winners took place on Thursday night (1st). The first place was won by the “Young Citizen Project in the Labour Market – Inclusion and Development”, conceived by Judge Noeli Salete Tavares Reback, of the Childhood and Youth Court of Ponta Grossa.

The initiative serves adolescents and young people from 14 to 24 years old in a situation of social vulnerability, offering professional qualification and preparation for entry into the labor market. The project is executed in partnership with FASPG, through the Jovem Aprendiz Program.

Project Take Care Together is in third place

Ponta Grossa also appeared among the winners of the project “Care Together”, by Judge Heloísa da Silva Krol Milak, of the Court of Justice of Paraná. The initiative won third place in the same category.

The project promotes the articulation between the Specialized Reference Centers for Social Assistance (CREAS) and the Judicial Center for Conflict Resolution and Citizenship (CEJUSC) of Ponta Grossa.

The objective is to strengthen the local protection network and develop joint responses to situations involving conflicts and violations of rights.

Among the activities carried out are family mediation, Restorative Justice practices and referral of victims of crimes for specialized psychological care.

FASPG highlights national recognition

For the president of FASPG, Tatyana Belo, the result represents recognition for the actions developed in the municipality.

“This achievement puts Ponta Grossa on the national human rights scene. For FASPG, it is an honor to be part of projects that change the trajectory of young people and strengthen the network of care for families,” he said. In addition to institutional recognition, the awards highlight two distinct fronts of action: the preparation of young people for professional opportunities and the strengthening of social protection and care for families.

Patrícia Acioli Prize

The AMAERJ Human Rights Award – Patrícia Acioli was created in 2012 and honors Judge Patrícia Acioli.

The award recognizes annually projects and initiatives related to the defense and promotion of human rights. The 2026 edition reached its 15th achievement, with awards distributed in four categories.

This year, two initiatives with direct participation of Ponta Grossa structures were among the first three placed in the category intended for the works developed by magistrates.
