Prudentópolis City Hall mourns death of driver who fell with car into construction site
Vehicle fell into drainage ditch in the early morning of this Thursday (30), around 2:19 am; municipality of Prudentópolis says the section was marked and awaits reports from the Scientific Police.
The Prefeitura Municipal of Prudentopolis expressed deep regret for the accident that occurred early on Wednesday (30), on Avenida São João, which resulted in the death of the 45-year-old driver of a vehicle.
According to the official note released by the Administration, at about 2:19 a.m., a vehicle occupied only by the driver fell on the site where a drainage work is being carried out, with the installation of new handles for the flow of rainwater.
According to the City Hall, the work is being carried out by a third party company and, at the time of the accident, the section was signposted and lit.
In a note, the City Hall informed that it is monitoring the situation and awaiting the completion of the investigations carried out by the competent authorities, including the work of the Scientific Police and the Medical-Legal Institute (IML), which should clarify the circumstances and causes of the accident.
“At this time of pain, the Municipal Administration expresses its solidarity and deep sorrow to the family and friends of the victim, wishing strength and comfort in the face of this irreparable loss,” the statement said.
