Quaest: indefinite election to be decided in a second round, by Gleidson Carlos
Poll Quaest for the Paraná State Government shows Moro in the lead, with Sandro Alex and Requião Filho tied in an still undefined scenario
While some institutes point to Sérgio Moro’s victory in the first round and others show Sandro Alex tied with the senator, the new Quaest survey presents a very different scenario: an open dispute, with no definition as to who would make it to the second round.
Moro appears with 36% of the vote intentions. Sandro Alex and Requião Filho have 20% each and are numerically tied.
Other candidates total 3%, white and null, 9%, and the undecided reach 12%.
That is, by Quaest’s numbers, Moro leads, but is still far from the votes needed to win in the first round.
And there is another important fact. In the spontaneous poll, when names are not presented, 57% of voters are still undecided. Moro has 21%, Requião Filho, 11%, and Sandro Alex, 9%. This is where the main reading of this survey is: the election is still open.
Moro leads, but it is not defined that there will be victory in the first round. And at this point, it is also not possible to say who your opponent would be in a possible second round.
The Quaest shows, therefore, a dispute in motion, with three candidates still fighting for space.
The survey was commissioned by RPC, an affiliate of TV Globo on Paraná, and heard from 804 voters aged 16 years or older between September 20 and 23. The margin of error is 3 percentage points, for more or for less. The confidence level is 95%. The research was registered on Justiça Eleitoral under numbers PR-02802/26.
