Registration for the 9th Princess of the Fields Race and Walk is open only until this Sunday, September 20. The traditional sporting event will be held on September 27, in Ponta Grossa, and the organization expects to gather approximately 1,200 participants.

Created in 2016, the event already integrates the sports calendar of the municipality and brings together professional athletes, amateur runners, families, children and collaborators of the Princess of the Fields. By 2026, 5 and 10-kilometre races, walking and Kids races are planned.

The registrations for the 5 km and 10 km races are in the third lot, for the value of R$ 69,90. For the Kids walk and run, the fee is R$ 29,90.

The registration includes the Athlete Kit, consisting of chest number, participation medal, customized ecobag of the Princess of the Fields and an exclusive sock of the event. The official T-shirt can be purchased separately for R$ 50.

The registration and purchase of the shirt can be made through the Ticket Sports platform (CLICK HERE).

Awards will be extended in 2026

One of the novelties of this year’s edition is on the podium of the men’s and women’s general classification. By 2025, the awards included the top three. This year, the top five will receive awards.

The overall champion will receive R$ 1,000, trophy and ticket voucher. The second place will be entitled to R $ 700, trophy and voucher, while the third will receive R $ 500, trophy and voucher.

Athletes who finish in fourth and fifth positions will also be awarded with trophies and ticket vouchers.

In addition to the general classification, there will be prizes by age group. Under the 9th edition regulations, athletes who reach the podium in these categories will receive bus ticket vouchers.

Race will also have solidarity action

In addition to encouraging sports practice, the Princess of the Fields Run and Walk will again have a social character. Part of the funds raised with the registrations will be earmarked for the Pequeno Anjo Core, an entity of Ponta Grossa that serves children and adolescents in a situation of vulnerability or who had rights violated.

According to Amanda Oliveira Vieira, Communication Director of the Pequeno Anjo Center, more than 5,000 children have been treated by the organization in 15 years of operation. Currently, approximately 40 young people are welcomed.

“Today we have about 40 young people with us. The destination of part of the value of the race registrations comes to help with our daily expenses and needs, which are not paid for by the covenant. We are very grateful, from now on, to the Princess of the Fields and we invite the general population to participate in the event and, thus, help us as well,” he says.

For the general director of Passagem da Princesa dos Campos, Alexandre Gulin, the proposal is to expand the participation of the community and bring different audiences through sport.

“The Princess of the Fields Race and Walk was born with the purpose of encouraging sports practice and, over the years, has become an event that brings together different audiences. The event has expanded and we are almost reaching our 10th edition,” he says.

According to Gulin, the expectation for 2026 is to increase the number of participants and strengthen the integration between sport, health and solidarity.

Withdrawal of the kits begins on the 25th

Organised this year by Muraro Eventos, the race will have its kits removed between September 25 and 27 in the garage of the Princess of the Fields, located on Avenida Anita Garibaldi, no 861, in the Orphans neighborhood, in Ponta Grossa.

On Friday (25th), the withdrawal can be made from 14h to 19h. On Saturday (26), the service will take place from 9 am to 2 pm.

On Sunday (27), the day of the race, there will be a pick-up between 5.30am and 6.30am, but exclusively for participants who live in other cities.

Athletes residing in Ponta Grossa are required to remove the kits on either Friday or Saturday.
