A relief course in remote areas at Piraí do Sul is with open enrollment for adventure tourism professionals at Campos Gerais. Promoted by Adetur Campos Gerais, the training will be held on October 17 and 18, 2026, in the Piraí do Sul National Forest. The registration fee is R$ 150, and the places are limited.
The SAR – Relief in Remote Areas Course will be 20 hours long and will bring together theoretical content, practical activities and simulations of emergency situations in natural environments. The initiative is part of the Campos Gerais Safer Tourism program, which seeks to strengthen the qualification and safety of nature and adventure tourism activities in the region.
The training is aimed at tour guides and drivers, professionals and entrepreneurs in the sector, mountaineers, search and rescue teams, firefighters and people who frequent natural areas. You do not need to have prior first aid training to participate.
Course prepares participants for emergencies away from urban centers
The training will address techniques of Pre-Hospital Care in Remote Environment, also known as Wilderness Medicine. The focus is on situations where access to conventional emergency services is limited and response time can exceed 60 minutes.
Among the contents provided are initial evaluation of the victim, management of trauma, control of hemorrhages, stabilization and immobilization, clinical emergencies, hypothermia, prolonged care in the field and evacuation planning and safe transport.
Participants will also have activities aimed at identifying risks and making decisions in emergency situations.
Adetur highlights the importance of the rescue course
For the president of Adetur Campos Gerais, Guilherme Forbeck, the training seeks to prepare professionals and practitioners to act in a safer way in natural environments.
“Security is one of the pillars for the responsible development of adventure tourism and activities in natural areas. With the SAR Course, we want to contribute so that professionals are more prepared to prevent risks and act appropriately in emergency situations”, he says.
According to Forbeck, the initiative also integrates the efforts to qualify the tourism offer of the Campos Gerais.
Training will be held in the National Forest of Piraí do Sul
The course will be taught by Alan Jacob da Rosa, nurse specialist in Urgency and Emergency and in Aeromedical Transport and Rescue. He is a professor at UNIVILLE University, in Santa Catarina, and a public servant of the State Health Care Foundation of Curitiba (FEAS).
The instructor has training in first aid in remote environments and experience in search and rescue operations. He is also the founder of the Mountain Rescue Group (GRM).
The choice of the National Forest of Piraí do Sul will allow practical activities to be carried out in a natural environment, bringing the exercises closer to the conditions found in adventure tourism.
According to the organization, the place will have camping area, accommodation and community kitchen, according to the conditions and guidelines established by the unit.
How to enroll in the relief course in remote areas
Applications are open and must be made through the form provided by Adetur Campos Gerais. The investment is R$ 150 per participant.
