Sanepar starts applying 25% discount on water bills in October
25% Sanepar discount will apply to bills issued from October and will be automatically applied to payments.
Sanepar’s 25% discount on the minimum rate of water and sewage starts to apply on invoices issued from this Thursday, October 1, for consumers of Ponta Grossa and other municipalities of Paraná. The reduction will be applied over the range corresponding to the first 5 cubic meters of consumption and will appear detailed in the account itself.
According to the Sanitation Company of Paraná (Sanepar), the benefit will be applied automatically at the time the customer makes the payment. In this way, it will not be necessary to make registration, request or any additional procedure to receive the reduction.
The information regarding the discount will be displayed in the “Additional Information” field of the invoice.
Why Sanepar will give the discount
Sanepar’s discount is related to the allocation of resources deriving from Union precautions received by the Company following a judicial dispute that has lasted for more than 30 years.
The case involved the collection of Income Tax between 1994 and 1996, later considered undue. Some of these resources will be reverted to consumers through the temporary reduction in the minimum rate.
Water bill gains new visual
In addition to the reduction in the rate, consumers will also receive an invoice with a new layout. According to Sanepar, the model was developed to facilitate the location of the main information and make the account more functional.
At the top of the invoice, the customer will be able to view more prominently the registration number, the total amount to be paid and the due date.
Another expected change is the possibility of including the name of the spouse and the full address in the header. The measure should facilitate the use of the water bill as proof of residence.
Information on consumption becomes clearer
The new model also modifies the way in which water consumption is presented.
A table will gather the data related to the reading of the hydrometer, allowing the customer to identify more easily the volume recorded during the period.
The “Invoiced Consumption” field will directly show the amount of water considered in the billing of that month.
Warnings appear on the invoice itself
Another change will be the concentration of communications in the “Notices” field.
When there are open accounts or any relevant change in consumption identified by Sanepar, this information will appear directly on the invoice.
With this, the consumer will not need to receive separate documents to accompany pending or other situations related to the consumer unit.
According to the Company, the intention is to make communication simpler and facilitate the financial organization of customers.
Change anticipates Reforma Tributária
The reformulation of the account also seeks to prepare the Sanepar system for changes planned with the Reforma Tributária.
With the implementation of the new rules, companies will need to adapt the issuance of tax documents to the standard established by the legislation.
Therefore, the new model already has spaces and structures that can be used when the new requirements come into force.
Beads will be pink in October
During October, Sanepar will also maintain the tradition of sending the bills in pink.
The initiative integrates the actions of Outubro Rosa and seeks to draw the attention of the population to the prevention and care related to breast cancer.
With the combination of the Sanepar discount and the new invoice model, consumers in Paraná begin October with changes in both the value of the minimum rate and the form of presentation of the water bill information.
