Santa Casa launches children's series with mascot Turim to teach health care
Santa Casa de Ponta Grossa launches "As aventuras de Turim", a children's series that teaches prevention and health care in a playful way.

The Santa Casa de Ponta Grossa launches on Monday (12th), Children’s Day, the animated miniseries “The Adventures of Turin”, a project created to bring information on prevention and health care to the children’s public in a light, educational and accessible way.
The protagonist of the stories will be Turin, the official mascot of the institution. Through the character, Santa Casa aims to address health-related issues using a language adapted to children, combining information and entertainment.
The first episode will be broadcast on the official Santa Casa de Ponta Grossa channel on YouTube. The choice of the premiere date seeks to take advantage of the celebrations of October 12 to reinforce the importance of encouraging healthy habits even in childhood.
Prevention from an early age
The initiative integrates the health education actions promoted by Santa Casa and seeks to expand the population’s access to guidance and prevention content in different formats.
According to the technical director of Santa Casa, Rogério Clemente, working with children can contribute to the creation of a culture of care from the first years of life.
“Prevention is one of the pillars to promote health and needs to be encouraged from childhood. With Turin, we were able to approach important issues in a light and close to the reality of children, helping them to understand the importance of health care and also share this knowledge with their families,” he says.
Information for children and families
The provider of Santa Casa, Juarez Antonio Carvalho, emphasizes that the proposal also expands the institution's performance beyond hospital care.
“Santa Casa has a commitment that goes beyond hospital care: we also want to contribute to people having access to quality information. With this initiative, we use technology and creativity to talk to children, bring families closer to the institution and show that prevention and health care can be taught from an early age,” he says.
With “The Adventures of Turin”, Santa Casa is committed to educational communication as a tool to bring children and families closer to themes related to health, prevention and quality of life.
