Santa Mônica receives a campaign with RG issuance and free services this Saturday (23)

The residents of the Santa Monica neighborhood, in Ponta Grossa, receive on Friday (23) a multitude of free services promoted by the Social Assistance Foundation of Ponta Grossa (FASPG). The initiative, called Conecta FASPG in the Neighborhoods, takes place from 9 am to 3 pm, in the Arthur Cesar Pina Sports Gymnasium, located in Rimon Perez Street, 384.

The action brings together different public bodies and partner institutions to facilitate the access of the population to essential care, such as issuance of documents, guidance on social benefits, health services and referral to work opportunities.

Issuance of RG and other free services in Ponta Grossa

Among the main services available in the mutirão is the issuance of the identity card by Poupatempo. Residents may also seek assistance from the Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS), which will offer guidance on social programs, cadastral updates and access to social care benefits.

Those in need of legal guidance may seek the representatives of the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Legal Office of the Law course of the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG).

The program will also include the participation of the Worker Agency, which will present employment opportunities, and the Entrepreneur’s Room, responsible for providing information and guidance to those who want to start or develop a business.

Another service offered free of charge will be the haircut, performed by the Social Works Service (SOS) during the entire period of the event.

Rapid health tests and care for women

In the area of health, the SAE/CTA will conduct free rapid tests until 12 noon. At the same time, the Maria da Penha Patrol will be present to guide women on the protection services and support channels available to victims of domestic violence.

The mobilization will also include teams from the municipal sports secretariats and Meio Ambiente, in addition to the participation of the PREVER Group.

The Campanha PG Sem Frio will be present with the distribution of blankets and winter clothes, expanding the service to families in situations of social vulnerability.

City Council seeks to bring public services closer to the population

According to the president of FASPG, Tatyana Belo, the aim of the initiative is to reduce the difficulties faced by families who need to move to different regions of the city in search of care.

“Many families have difficulty reaching out to public services. That’s why we take care of where people are. In a single day, the community is able to resolve documentation, seek guidance and know opportunities. We invite the residents of Santa Monica and the region to participate," he said.

The proposal of Conecta FASPG in the Neighborhoods is to decentralize public services, bringing together several services in the same space and facilitating the access of residents to municipal programs and partner institutions.
