School General Aldo Bonde receives Jardim do Mel in Ponta Grossa
Jardim do Mel at School General Aldo Bonde is inaugurated in Ponta Grossa and benefits more than 600 students with environmental education.
The Municipal School General Aldo Bonde receives the Garden of Honey in Ponta Grossa, expanding the environmental education actions developed with the students of the institution. The inauguration of the new unit took place on Monday (21) and marked the implementation of the 51st space of the program in schools and public places of the municipality.
The new Honey Garden will benefit more than 600 students from Educação Infantil and Elementary Education, offering a hands-on learning experience about meio ambiente, biodiversity and the importance of native stingless bees to the balance of ecosystems.
The event was attended by the mayor of Ponta Grossa, Elizabeth Schmidt, the municipal secretary of Education, Joana D’Arc Panzarini, and the secretary of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, Izaltino Cordeiro.
The initiative uses native bees without stingers, such as the mandaçaia species, as a pedagogical tool to bring students closer to issues related to environmental preservation. The proposal is to stimulate knowledge about pollination, sustainability and the relationship between nature and food production.
With the installation of the Honey Garden at the Aldo Bonde General School, Ponta Grossa reaches the mark of 51 units implemented by the program. The spaces are developed to transform learning into a more dynamic experience, allowing students to have direct contact with environmental concepts.
In addition to classroom activities, the project seeks to arouse students’ curiosity and encourage caring attitudes towards the meio ambiente from the first years of training. Contact with native bees allows children and adolescents to understand the importance of species preservation and the balance of nature.
During the inauguration, representatives of the municipality highlighted the involvement of the school community in creating a more welcoming and participatory learning environment. Management, teachers, teaching staff and staff of the Escola General Aldo Bonde were recognized for the work carried out with the students.
The Garden of Honey is part of a series of actions aimed at environmental education in the municipality, bringing knowledge about biodiversity to different spaces. The expectation is that the students use the new environment as an extension of the pedagogical activities, uniting theory and practice.
The new unit installed at the Aldo Bonde Municipal School integrates the existing network of Honey Gardens in Ponta Grossa, strengthening initiatives that bring education closer to environmental preservation.
