Sebrae evaluates bringing the Entrepreneur Fair to Ponta Grossa
The event considered one of the largest entrepreneurship events in Brazil may have an edition in the city, which is the headquarters of the Sebrae/PR Central Region
The possible arrival of the fair in the city is part of a new vision of the institution. Vitor Roberto Tioqueta, Director-Superintendente of Sebrae/PR, explained that the strategic decision was made to hold the event annually, also betting on its expansion into the interior of the state. "We have come to the conclusion that we should do the fair every year, precisely to bring news, bring knowledge, bring information for entrepreneurs and for those who want to start a new business," said the director.
Regarding the choice of Ponta Grossa as one of the next destinations, Tioqueta was optimistic: "One of the possibilities is to take the fair to Ponta Grossa, yes, because we defined by the headquarters of the regional Sebrae. The regional center of the Sebrae, the headquarters is Ponta Grossa. So probably one of the fairs will be at Ponta Grossa next year." The official confirmation of the site will depend on an evaluation of the city’s infrastructure and will be decided during the council meeting, scheduled for October.

More than presenting news, Sebrae seeks to transform the mindset of those who manage the business. Patricia Albanez, State Coordinator of Sebrae/PR, highlighted the importance of the proactive attitude on the part of entrepreneurs: "We talk a lot here at Sebrae that, more than what Sebrae brings to the entrepreneur, it is what the entrepreneur does with what he receives."

The coordinator also underlined what distinguishes good projects in a scenario of constant changes and challenges: "What is the characteristic of successful entrepreneurs? Look at the business environment, look at the opportunities, pull the responsibility into yourself and transform your business in the day to day,” he concluded. Sebrae thus reinforces its willingness to support micro and small businesses by offering training tools and contact networks to ensure the long-term sustainability of business.
